The report described it as a well-funded institution that is effectively administered, with a student body of 469 boys. In 1939, the academy presented 45 students for the Senior Cambridge School Certificate Examination, out of whom 42 students passed, with 10 students obtaining exemption from the London Matriculation Examination.
